Prayer is at the heart of our walk with God. Jesus taught it, the Early Church relied on it and for centuries, Christians have found peace through it. God wants us to talk, cry, discuss and wrestle with Him through prayer. What’s incredible is that he promises that He will move in the hearts and lives of people as we pray.
There is benefit both to learning to pray alone and to praying with other Christians. The links below will help you to grow in this fundamental principle of the Christian faith and to go deeper with God.
There’s so much we can learn from other people, particularly when it comes to prayer. That’s why we asked a number of people in our church to write short articles on different aspects of prayer to help shape your prayer life. You can find all of them here.
We also asked people about how they pray. We made these into a series of short videos and you can watch all of those on our YouTube channel.
Every week we gather to worship and pray together as a church family, asking God to bless our church and our city. Currently we’re hosting that online, but this will soon be a ticketed, in-person gathering. For more details head to our events page.
Week of Prayer
Three times a year we set aside a week to worship, pray and fast together as a church - we call it Deeper. These weeks always play a huge part in the heartbeat of our church; they shape us and they refresh us. As part of the week we produce resources to help you pray. Here’s the booklet we produced for our last Deeper week: click here.
Women’s Prayer Pods
If you’re a woman and would like to pray with a handful of others, prayer pods are a great way to support one another and learn to pray from other women in the church. If you’re interested in becoming part of a prayer pod, please email the office on firstname.lastname@example.org.
