Easter is the biggest event in the Christian calendar and we can’t wait to celebrate together this year. Here's everything that's happening at Grace Church this Easter.
Easter Sunday
Sunday 5th April at 9.15am or 11.15am
Our Easter celebrations are at 9:15am and 11:15am on Easter Sunday (we're not running our usual 7pm service on this Sunday). The services will last just over an hour each, with some sung worship with our live band, a short talk on how Jesus can change your life as well as a chance to hear real life stories of people whose lives he has already transformed as we celebrate baptisms. For kids we run Easter-themed parties in our various kids' groups for ages 0-11 where they'll play games, make crafts and have loads of fun. Good Friday Service
Friday 3rd April at 7.30pm
Our Good Friday service has become a powerful, moving evening over the last few years where we spend time remembering and celebrating the finished work of the cross. We centre everything around a large, wooden cross in the middle of the room and focus our worship and attention on the events of that infamous day. Throughout the evening we'll hear readings from the Bible retelling the passion story and take communion together. It starts at 7.30pm (doors open at 7:15pm). Watch the promo video below to get an idea of what to expect. For information on parking and accessibility on Easter Sunday, click here.
Good Friday for Families
Friday 3rd April from 10-11am
On the morning of Good Friday we're hosting an interactive space at our church building for families and kids to come and explore the story of Easter in a really fun, accessible way. Come for the hour and enjoy time with your kids around a variety of stations and activities where you can learn together about the cross and the resurrection. It'll be suitable for children in primary school.
